To produce amonocrystalline component (1), with a complex shape structure of different structureparts (2, 3), a molten metal is poured into a mold. The mold temperature is set accordingto the crystallizing speed of the molten metal, to give a temperature drop to form ahardening front (7). An individual temperature drop is set for at least one of the structureparts, without an adverse effect on the hardening of the main body of the component,using additional induction coils (8) and radiators (9) with separate controls.
